"Mr. Ekos Rumble" 11-28-2005
Mr. Eko was just trying to help whoever he could after the crash when the others decided to try and kidnap him. Big mistake. Now he is ready to rumble!

Thanks dude! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

It just struck me how cool Eko was and he needed a majestic song with little or no lyrics.

Here is a shameless plug pic I photochopped for the vid:

Cheers! I'm glad I could do the big guy justice.

Thanks also for the input on the ending. I was a little shaky about it and after viewing a few times I thought it might have been a bit anti-climactic because I didn't have anyone exploding in the end.

what could BE more climatic than Eko's spiral into Locke's world? the silence before the storm. I don't think it even needed the audio clip right at the end. Just Locke stepping in all ominous was enough to send the shivers down one's spine

Very true. Especially so since Locke was just working on the crossword clue that personifies Eko (Enkidu - the wild man).

So my question is does that make Locke Gilgamesh?

I don't want to relly too heavilly on metaphors put into the show, but I just read the story of Gilgamesh and Enkidu, and Locke really does seem like Gilgamesh. He's selfish, but he does care for his friend. If Eko and Locke do follow that formula, that'll be really cool!

I'm downloading this now but it'll be probably an hour and a half or 2 before it's in. *glares at slow dial-up* However, I just had to go ahead and say that I LOVE this pic!

Rock on, Mr. Eko! He immediately became my favorite of the new characters and it's so awesome to see vids popping up for him!

You know, that never actually helps it go any faster, yet I keep doing it anyway...

Looking forward to the vid!

*looks at pic again* Oh man, that's priceless! I love that! I've gotta save that one, I hope you don't mind...

Sorry to have taken so long to get back.

Loved the vid! I really liked how it had a very "majestic" feel to it, for lack of a better thing to call it. Instead of it being all jokey or whatever. It would help if I knew what I was trying to say, huh?

Well, poor vocabulary skills aside, I enjoyed this a lot. And, like everybody else, I thought the ending worked really well. I felt like we were seeing two "giants" facing off for the first time, not knowing if they would become friends or just start throwing trees at each other!

Oh, how awesome of you to offer that! I don't know what you could to improve on the original, though... It's just so perfect as it is! Of course, if you think of a new variation, I wanna be the first to see it, 'kay?

Again, a great vid that I really enjoyed!

That was cool! Unfortunately when The Other 48 Days aired I wasn't paying attention and missed the whole first part before the first commercial break, so apparently I missed out on a LOT.

Love it, really captures Eko's character. The only thing I'm not really keen on is the amount of darkness in some clips and sometimes when the clips were sped up it looked kind of funny. But that last part when Locke entered the scene....that was just totally unextectedly dramatic. LOCKE!!!!

Great job! I enjoyed it!

Aislynn I will send you the sample pic. Glad you enjoyed the vid!

DistressSignal thanks for the comments. Yes I agree some of the scenes were a bit dark, I'll have to adjust them in future vids. As to the looking funny - I think that has to do with my vid editor when I changed the interlace feature to progressive. I will also make sure to fix that this week in my vid.
